@artist01 We are expecting rain later today. In our neighborhood, there is a gentleman that we tagged as our "watchman". He keeps up-to-date with the goings on. When I moved here almost 2 years ago he made it a point to come by and find out about me. They live on the next street over, and can see our front yard from their driveway [clear lots between us, and we are on a rise from them]. He has watched me progress from a cane-sometimes, to cane-all-the-time, so he checks on me if he is out, making sure I don't have any issues. Some would say he is nosy, I say he cares. Knowing we have to make our choices about walking in funny weather or unsure footing is offset knowing Frank is watching out for me.

Ginger, in today’s day and age, it seems like a kind gesture. He cares enough to check in. It is really your impression that counts, regardless of what other might think, he is obviously meaning no harm. Hope that the sun is shining on your back today.

@gingerw, Sounds like you have a caring neighbor! We are very lucky.

When my kitty went missing, neighbors on my end of the block turned out to help look for her. After 11 days, Precious found her way home on her own but I'll never forget the kindness and help of those neighbors.

@gingerw . It sounds like you've got an angel close by, with Frank. Hugs.

Isn't it lovely when neighbors keep an eye out for each other? We have a lady next door whose only nearby son is ill, but she's a very private person who doesn't want to be "watched over" so we simply note if we don't see her out walking, puttering or getting her mail for a day or two and find a reason to "drop by." Most of us on the block have been here a long time and know each other's habits, so we check if someone suddenly isn't out and about.
At our Texas tiny home, everyone watches out for each other because we are far from home & family.
It warms my heart that there are still caring people in our sometimes scary world.
