@funcountess Yesterday I went down to the fairgrounds in next county south, for my 2nd vaccine shot. Three weeks ago it was snowing and sleety rain, and we had to stand outside waiting to get into the fair building. They used 3 different ones [paperwork, actual shot, waiting time] Usually, my cane stays in the car, but really glad I had it along. I put on lug soled hiking boots for added traction. And canvas pants. Yesterday, once again it was cold rain, and I dressed the same. For those who were pushing me along between buildings, it was a simple "if you want to walk around me, go for it! I'm watching the footing, and not slipping" Good to see the staff were watching everyone to make sure there were no accidents!

@gingerw. All of you who brave the elements to get the vaccine have my utmost admiration. I had mine in Disneyland! Imagine that, the happiest place on earth... A whole different meaning. My son was able to get one of the many wheelchairs for me as it is quite a walk. There was a medical tent where I have to go because I'm on blood thinner in case I have any questions. Even though it was no where as cold as the Midwest, there were several heat lamps for those who don't want to sit in the tents after vaccination. I can't imagine doing all that in the rain and snow.
