wisco50, how very sad that your husband walked out on you. Taking care of yourself surely makes sense. I am sure your children appreciated all the time you gave to them. You are a wise woman! @joybringer1

Thanks. It was very abrupt and upsetting. I was young (29) as were my kids. I was angry, hurt, sad. But I was most concerned about the kids. My son really struggled for years with depression and anger. My ex moved out and immediately in with his girlfriend. The kids would tell me that E was not nice to them, etc. My daughter (who has grown kids now) tells me she is glad I didn’t badmouth their dad to them and just let them figure things out themselves. (Guess it’s a good thing they weren’t mind readers! 😁) He remarried, divorced again but the positive was that woman was a good stepmom and we all have a good relationship and she and her daughter are in all our family celebrations. Good things came out of it and, naughty of me, but karma is also real. ‘Nuff said.
