Aw, heck, @sueinmn, I wish I'd read your "5 things for 5 senses" Before my early morning walk. Mine was shorter and dismally drab in comparison to your visually poetic walk. However, I was aware of and grateful for the increased coolness and was heartened by the promise of fall. Today is my daughter's 50th b.d. and I spent the walk reflecting on our lives together and the continuing joy she brings to all in her circle. She alerted me yesterday that she and a friend would be taking an early 5 hour hike this morning so I called the g.s. to be sure he and bro had "wrapped" the gifts I'd ordered for her special day and they were at it ...yay!

@fiesty76. You have a 50 years old daughter? So you were a child bride? A very happy to her! It's nice she lives close to you. I don't see mine often enough. Actually she and her husband were looking for properties in Washington for retirement. Gig Harbor and Bainbridge Island? Does anyone know about these places? She did promise they will be looking for a place big enough for me too, although i may be long gone by then since she's only in her 40s!
