I live in Duluth. I grew up mostly in Mankato and went to the Rockies for a few decades and wanted to come back and live on wonderful Lake Superior. I remember driving trips up the North Shore when I was a kid. I love watching the shipping action, too. I've been here for two years.

I live in Rochester and have been to the North shore and once even took my two children into the Boundary waters. I had no business doing that, we jumped into a canoe and the guy handed me a water map, of all things!! It meant nothing to me. We finally found some private land owner who let us portage into the next lake. We barely made it back to our original landing spot before dark. The loons made my heart swell! My kids still give me a hard time about my silly bravery at that time to this day.
I haven’t been to the Duluth area for sometime, hopefully once this all settles down, I can return.
