This morning was another walking day for me and the neighborhood was still turning on kitchen lights as I walked. High heat is really taking a big toll on landscapes here and although the past two mornngs have been cooler, I was still perspiring by my return home.

Might have been partly due to a possible tooth infection still awaiting treatment. My first call yesterday was to the dentist at opening; several back and forths later to provide more info. At 5:55p, I called back and was told "the dentist has been so busy today, I've not yet spoken to her regarding your appt.". Perplexed because the office mgr usually schedules appts and surprised to still not be given an appt, I waited until 12:30 p to call today.

Luckily, a dental asst answered the phone; I repeated the reasons for the call and was eager to be seen because while the antibiotics were helping, the pain has increased; the tooth has loosened from the gum. She said hold just a minute and the dentist herself came on the phone. Told me to incr. the antibiotic and prescription rinse and will see me in the morning at 8:45 a.m. So relieved and also touched that the dentist took her time to talk with me and get me in quickly. Said it might require a root canal but regardless, I'm happy to be soon receiving professional treatment. Besides, if required, the endodontist is very easy on an old gal's eyes as well. Off for a possible nap with an easier mind. Best to all.
