The first time I ever heard of referrals was when I was with my nephew at a dental office, he’s a dental anesthesiologist. I don’t know how common they are. There are numerous medical conditions where some dentists will want a referral from a physician. It’s not only Western Dental. My nephew occasionally will require one and he’s in private practice.

@jakedduck1 I never heard of it before the reason they wanted a note from my Dr was I'm 77 an old lady according to them
