If my back or neck muscles feel tight, heat and self massage or even just point pressure can help. Ice is best for actual aching or spasms. Years ago I had severe jaw problems and used ice almost constantly. I also played soccer as an adult into my early 50’s and have an impressive pile of different cold/hot packs, LOL!

@wisco50 I do also plus those rice filled bags different sizes for different areas .Took one with me when 4 of us rented a cabin I guess I got it to hot and it started to smell. lol
