I believe you. When my mothers husband had one the doctor punched a hole in his colon. He had to spend 5 days in the hospital.
Also the sedative can be hard on your kidneys, and heart.
Naturally the medical profession will not tell you that.
That would be bad for business.
This happened at a well known hospital in l.a. the doctor, well, I would imagine he is retired now.

@funcountess Yes, I was overdosed and ended up in the ambulance and taken to emergency. The Dr there wanted to know what I was 'on'. They had to pump me full of antedote meds all day and I thought my head would explode. it was awful. I said never again.
