Hi @kellyhahn1 I’m Becky and I’m glad you joined our group! We’re following Mayo Clinic’s 12 week walking plan. Nobody sticks to the plan, but it does give us an idea of progression. And don’t let yourself be tempted by all the talk of good food here—we’re supposed to be walking OFF those calories, not adding to them! Welcome!
@kellyhahn1
Hi
I walk now 6 days a week 2.3 to 2.5 miles..used to walk 2 or 3 days as I had gym classes too.
I stretch my hamstrings ..for a few minutes but do some upper body stretches while waiting for morning coffee..gets kinks out. I dont run so not sure how much stretching the hamstrings aids in walking but do it anyway. I do it each leg up on table bending over as far as I can or, if in a hurry just each leg with hands against the wall. Became a habit.

@kellyhahn1 C'mon, join us as we walk in a group, virtually! Like any group of more than 2 people, our topics sometimes run amuck, and we are sometimes easily distracted. But @becsbuddy tries to keep us in line, not always successfully LOL

@kellyhahn1 I suppose we should stretch before and after but we do not. I think with our mode of walking it may not be necessary, but I can't be sure of that.
You can find almost anything by googling though. I would love to do yoga but with two knee replacements and flex hovering around 120 much of it is difficult for me. I googled yoga after knee replacements and even found that!
For indoor walking routines, I am using videos by Jenny McClendon, she has a number of videos ranging from around 20 minutes to more. If you search for her on Youtube you will find many.
Last night I came across this video on Youtube and I liked it also - it's walking routines for over 50.
