Let’s Go Walking! Join me for a virtual walking support group
Many of you living with cancer or an autoimmune disease, like me, deal with daily fatigue. You know that exercise is so important to your health, but it’s so hard. There’s always an excuse: it’s too cold or hot, it’s going to rain or it’s raining, or it’s snowy and icy, or I just don’t want to. I, too, have all these excuses, but I have a new rescue dog who wants to go out and who doesn’t care about my excuses! And I’ve got traction devices for my boots.Now I just need a walking group who will keep me accountable. People who say, ‘let’s go for a walk.'

Good point!! Maybe when others see you with a mask, they will be reminded of staying farther away. Anything to reinforce social distancing at this point.

1 ReactionThe grocery stores in Canada are controlling the crowds and only letting so many in the store at one time. You also have to all walk in one direction. The checkouts are having plexi glass shields installed and the staff cannot hand you an item, but have to place it on a counter for you to pick up. I haven't seen any precautions like this where we live. They have senior hours in addition to these precautions.

2 ReactionsThe NIH posted on social media, that 8000 steps per day is a healthy number. That's alot! For those of us with step counter apps, I shoot for 6000 steps.

where.?my home is just south of Santa Barbara. No plexiglass yet, but markets only let a few customers in at a time.
Do you think our Governor is doing a good job of keeping us informed?
Doctor Anthony Fauci from the presidents task force is a real straight shooter. He knows his business. Have great respect for him, and doctor Belize also on the task force.

Plus keeping the numbers down in the store etc. They are not doing any of those things here in Maui and the senior hours are mostly too early to bother with. Don't want to get into politics, but I think some of the governors are doing a good job.

3 ReactionsMaui, so beautiful, I do not think the Hawaiian Islands have the cov19 cases that the mainland has. If going to the senior hours at the grocery stores is too early, try going in the evening before the store would close. They usually are not busy then.
