Most likely genitofemoral nerve is entrapped in mesh. Would get ultrasound of inguinal hernia mesh area to see if nerve is "enlarged". A good hernia surgeon can take out the mesh and try again without doing any damage. Now, if you had laparoscopic mesh placement then many will not do it as that would be more technically challenging.

It was done laparoscopilly back in April of 2015. I had a cystectomy in February of 2013, and really not sure as to when my pain started, but the oncology urologist and general surgeon both said it would be like opening a swarm of bees, and both said no. The pain is right next to my stoma, and one time they injected me with local and a steroid, under guided ultrasound, but that just made it a bit worse. But thanx anyway.
