@merry, Volunteer Mentor, thank you so much for your encouraging words.

I haven't posted much lately about Autism. So, here's a connecion I would like all my friends here on Connect to check out.

Child Mind Institute.org. I went to their site and read that they do absolutely no negative reinforcement whatsoever.

Only positive reinforcement.

Exactly what we did here back in 90's.

We did not like what we were seeing coming from the ABA protocol down in another state adjacent to us.

Children on the Spectrum have enough trauma to deal with. They dont need more when parents are attempting to change certain behaviors by teachers and therapists.

If you have questions about why we #actually autistic individuals by and large do not have fondness in our hearts regarding strict forms of ABA, you might check out SupportyMcGroupface on Facebook. Or Actually Autistic. Or just Google ABA and learn what it involves.

People on the Spectrum routinely deal wirh depression and anxiety mainly because of the hypervigilence, the extreme sensitivity in all areas, and the lack of understanding and acceptance from even the "professionals."

Have a blessed day, my friends.
Love and light,
Mamacita Jane

Jane- Thank you. Very interesting. Does it work on all children? I have a nephew who I believe has been on the spectrum for many years but has not registered as such with tests. He's probably had more tests than I ever will, poor guy.
