Hi,

Medicaid may be able to get you a ride even though it’s not an emergency but you would have to contact your state Medicaid agency to see if you are eligible. And that will probably involve frustrating phone calls....as it is with most government agencies. So you have to be persistent and not accept a denial right off the bat. They may suggest alternatives also. Do you by any chance have a Medicaid counselor who could help?
Uber and Lyft are coordinating with Medicaid in some states so maybe you could contact them. Two hours away is a hike so I can understand why getting personal help might be a problem.

Ha, i know those frustrating calls. Im not connected with a medicaid agent but im going to call them and try to get any info. I ended up rescheduling. But my resources are limited, i live in the middle of nowhere. Im hhoping medicaid has something.
