Sadly in our current climate, this applies to many things. Autism, mental health, seniors, and the disabled. If you need help you have to be in peril to show you need it before you can get it, and even then................

@auntieoakley , I get really discouraged when I hear these kinds of things. I know it is true. And some of the people who are in a position to help do not have one ounce of compassion in their whole body.

Witness my daughter's recent visit to get her monrhly shot from the CRNP. This is at a mental health clinic. My daughter was asking about possible changes in her medication, as she was very anxious and depressed. The CRNP very brusquely snapped at her saying " This appointment is for your shot only. We dont have time to talk about your medicines."

I was appalled. No compassion at all. And, if I'm not mistaken, she did not even follow appropriate protocol.

Now, I know that my daughter is a difficult case to treat. Her case is challenging. But that CRNP was totally out of line in the way she treated my daughter. She behaved as if she could not wait to get rid of my daughter.

Another battle to deal with.
This story is not over.

Prayers and hugs to you and all who care about those less fortunate,
