Jane, I've cut way back on salt as well. However, my bigger challenge is limiting anything with sugar. My dentists fawn when they have me in the chair...and why not? I've sent their kids to college, built their outdoor pools and shortened their years to retirement. Any small thing to keep the economy going, yes? Smiles

The cure for too many jalapeños in a dish, when your mouth is on fire, is to pour a heaping spoon of sugar on your tongue. It puts the fire out - kazoom! I love sugar and chocolate. Sometimes I pour sugar on my tongue for no apparent reason.

@fiesty76 Haha!! I have recently said the same thing about helping my dentists child go to college on our families dental expenses. From a neurological perspective...it is miserable on me to sit in that chair for dental work. Really tormenting and painful to my body and head. Makes me motivated more than ever to floss and flouride rinse!
