On Mayo Clinic Connect
From Harvard:
“Taking Klonopin for three to six months raised the risk of Alzheimer’s by 32%. .... taking it for more than six months boosted the risk by 84%.”

(How do we get our memory back?
How do we educate doctors?)

I don't know how we get memory back. I have been taking Ativan for 30 years. It hasn't affected me yet. I probably need it for the rest of my life. I take Paxil with it. It saved my life years ago and I can't worry about getting Alzheimers disease.

I'm doomed then. I started taking Ks at 26 and I'm now 36. I'll pretend I did *not* read this and I'll fully rely on brain plasticity. 🙂
I never liked when benzos were glorified, I don’t like they are being demonized now. I bet sleepless nights are just as detrimental or worse for our memories, but I’m no physician. They should educate us, and not the other way around. 🙁
