@imallears Years ago, now decades, I had recurring ear infections. An intern at the hospital told me to use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and vinegar once a week or so in my ears. Lay on your side, about 4 drops into ear exposed, let it sit for about a minute, tilt your head and drain out. Repeat on other side. Voila! No more infections since then. It changed the pH in my ears, making them healthier. Now I only do it once a month or two, with no issues. Hope this helps,
Ginger

@gingerw The alcohol white or green alcohol?

Hi,
I also am prone to ear infections, more so since I wear two hearing aids. However, what I have now is a fungus which is a bacteria.
I have gotten in once before. When you wear hearing aids, the canals become warm and moist...a perfect breeding ground for bacteria no matter how careful you are in keeping them as dry as possible. He told me a while ago that I have dry ears and to use mineral oil which I did. However, I am stopping that and will use the water and apple cider vinegar maybe once a week. The reason I won’t use the alcohol is because it is drying and the acetic acid in the vinegar is drying enough. This is Goggle’s not grandma’s recipe but whatever floats the boat.
Don’t change anything if it works for you. I love DIY and Goggle!
