Good morning Lisa. Almost 3 years ago I was diagnosed with mild poly neuropathy. It’s been pretty much limited to my feet and hands. My symptoms are numbness, tingling, super-sensitivity to touch, but insensitivity to temperature, and periodic stabbing pain in different parts of each foot at random times mostly during the night. I also have restless leg syndrome, which I’ve been able to control with neurologist prescribed pramipexole (.25 mg once a day). I’ve tried all of the available medications to control the symptoms, but the side effects overwhelmed the benefits. So, I don’t plan to take any prescription drugs. I’ve been applying Life-flo magnesium lotion to my feet nightly, then putting on low elasticity athletic socks to wear to bed, which seems to help. Also, I’m taking neurologist recommended 600 mg of ALA twice a day for nerve health. My thought is that the Ananda Hemp salve will help relieve the stabbing pain. I’ve also found guidance in dealing with neuropathy from a book titled Defeat Neuropathy in Spite of Your Doctor, by Drs Valerie Monteiro and John Coppola.
