It sounds as if your pain and discomfort under ribs and in pelvic are are relatively recent and of course causing anxiety. It is possible that you still could have small intestinal overgrowth even if you took rifaximin. Do you have a GI doctor? Who requested the MRI? Have you had an ultrasound?

I do have a GI doctor who feels it is IBS. As for th MRI, I am driving myself crazy with anxiety and thought it might rule out the cancer issue. Now I am not so sure it is a good idea and the contrast might irritate things more. Have had an ultrasound.
