@stuckonu, what are you referring to? Signing out of what? Are you referring to your Internet provider and having used your monthly allowable hours of internet connection?

Hi Colleen I see how things can be confusing ( have you read any of my posts today )
After being away from home way longer than planned my internet provider raised my monthly charges and a 600 dollar credit plus a 30 dollar a month auto pay to the cable company wasn’t enough. Not only did they turn off my service but they tried to “ stop by “ to pick up their “ equipment “ a DVR and a modem/router combo. I want to take a picture of every piece of mail that they sent while I was gone and post it so others can see what they claim the robot sends. They always blame the robot.
All things are not equal in the world of internet providers. Where I live there’s the one that I’ve been with for 10 years. If you want a choice it’s a Ferrari or a Yugo. ( Yugo used to be an inexpensive car sold in the USA but made in Yugoslavia which used to be a country. Anyone who remembers Yugo’s still makes jokes about them. They were the worst car ever made for any money. So my choices are very limited and the cable company says that I owe them $1800.00 So I got a cell phone with “ hot spot “ capabilities that are measured in Gigabytes If anyone here can give me an example of how to measure gigabytes relative to how human beings would use it I would love to hear it. I’ve NEVER heard it explained in usable terms.
The plan I got gave me 25 gigs. The first month I watched the last 6 episodes of Billions on showtime and several shows on HBO and streamed some music which I’m a dinosaur when it comes to understanding how people listen to music these days. In any event 25 gigs seemed workable. The 2nd month I watched two one hour shows on HBO and maybe listened to some music. Next thing I know I get this RED SCREEN with white letters informing me that I only had 5 gigs left. I couldn’t figure out if this is/was like the cable fiasco where there argument that it’s like any utility: if it’s on you pay. Yes, there’s a base charge and a usage charge. But how did I use that much service? They told me to turn off something called “ cellular usage “ ( can’t even be positive about those words ) they had to guide me there to turn it off. But that turned off every kind of internet access. Lost I tried to find an address in my car and I was told I had no access.
So if this tells you anything then help educate me because I think that all of these companies make a practice of confusing people which helps sell UNLIMITED ACCESS I don’t want that much access nor do I want to pay that much for something that is no way near as fast or as clear as cable. But I’m sorry if this sound like I’m cheap but when I hear what people pay for “ cable “ I’m beyond appalled I get angry at all of my family and friends for paying that much money for what they get.
Again I apologize for my outrage especially when I’m told it’s not my money, why do I care.
My answer is simple these companies get away with monetary rape and there is no ME TOO movement to bring attention to what they do. I’ll go back to school if I could be told what I need to study if you think that you can explain to me how one month things were good and the next I used up all of my credit you can talk to me like I’m 5 years old I just want to know how to set the thing up and use it only for what I want to use it for we are all victims of this FREEDOM. I’m sorry if this offends anyone but I think that freedom is the beginning of the abuse. And as you can tell I don’t even know how to explain things without typing out these long boring posts that happen because there is no simple way of saying what needs to be said to understand
Both Becky and Colleen ask a simple question and I can’t fill in the blank because I don’t know the answer. I’m trying to know what to say it seems that “ IM SORRY is the only thing I know for sure is what I think and feel.
