@mcmurf2 Your A1C is definitely within range. The American Diabetes Assn. says 7.0, and the American Endocrinologists say 6.0. So you are below both of those groups' numbers for calling Diabetes. I know many diabetics who would celebrate if they had your number. The lowest I have been is 5.9, but the last time I went for check it was 6.5. It goes up and down and I check my blood to try to stay with the monitor ranges. Since your blood is really good, I imagine the Mayo doctors will recheck and move on to other areas. It won't be long before you see the Mayo professionals. I hope they will find the problem and be able to solve it. Do you have any other symptoms besides blurred vision? Do you have pain?
