Has anyone tried Ozone High Dose Therapy for Nerve Pain?
A pain management clinic that I go to has recommended High Dose Ozone Therapy to cure my nerve pain. Has anyone tried this or have more information about it? I do not have much faith in this clinic since they constantly push expensive treatments and do not help with my medications. The therapy consists of taking out some of your blood, mixing in ozone, and replacing it. They claim it can cure all kinds of things like cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc. Insurance doesn't cover it and the FDA doesn't approve of it either.

Hi @kallen1027, Welcome to Connect. I've read that ozone therapy has been used to treat spinal pain but I'm not sure of neuropathic pain. Maybe other members may have some knowledge they can share. I did find some information that wasn't too positive.

Here's some information that talks about ozone therapy for spinal pain and other disorders.

Have you done any research on ozone therapy for neuropathy pain?
I have just looked online, and either have found "Ozone Therapy" providers that say it cures almost everything or independent articles that are very skeptical. I was just wondering if anyone had any direct experience.
@kallen1027, You might try posting your question in the following discussion which will give it more visibility. Hopefully someone will be able to share their experience if they have tried it.

@kallen1027 I just got a filling in a tooth from my biological dentist, and he used ozone after drilling out the decay to sterilize the tooth before filling it. The tubules in the dentin of human teeth can harbor the bacteria from a cavity and the infection can travel down to the roots, and systemic antibiotics can't reach in there, so dentists try to make sure they have cleaned it all out. Using ozone gives them an added method to kill residual bacteria. He said ozone has been used in dentistry in other countries for many years, but only recently had been approved for use in the US, and biological dentists are the only ones regularly using ozone. The ozone was generated by something behind me, and I held a metal cylinder in my hand to ground the current for a minute while it generated ozone from the air.
I do also know an equine veterinarian who generates ozone gas and injects it into the veins of horses she is working with. She does myofascial release on the horses and acupuncture in addition to ozone treatment, and she said it super oxygenates the blood and that it helps their muscles recover from the performance training and work they do.
I'd like to know about ozone also
I will see my pain doctor on Thursday -- I will ask him about it. I'm leery of products that 'cure everything' but I'll listen to what he thinks. Peggy
