Hi Louise
I had the ultra sound endoscope In March at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix & they said everything was fine except for the Gastritis . I still think is all from the adhesion's. .I am considered complicated with a interesting history by the Mayo Clinic dr's there. I was born with 2 uterus & 1 ovary on opposite sides & that is why I was never able to have children. I adopted. I had my 1st major surgery at 20 years old & that is when I found out that I had endometriosis & I have had several surgeries for it & I am now 69 years old. All the surgeries caused all these adhesion's & they are so bad that they are plastered on all the other organs & twisiting in al different directions. I had the best dr. at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix 7 he had problems with me. There was a tare in the small bowel bc of the dense & extensive adhesion's. So do you see what I mean.
How are you doing? Your in my prayers. Thank you Lousie for all your help.
Thank you Louise. Keep me posted. I am starting to feel a little better. I have more energy &a little less pain in the legs with the Cymbalta & Gabapentin. With the pancreas, it is silent bc I have no symptoms. If it wasn't for the blood test when I went to the Er I would not even know about the levels. Well we just have to hang in there. God Bless Genie

My amylase and lipase came back super low. I looked it up and it said that it can mean that my pancreas is not making enough. When it comes back high, it can mean that the pancreas is inflamed. We just have to hang in there and have faith. I will be going away for 3 weeks, so I won't be on the computer. I will be thinking about you and will write when I get back. You will be ready for your next blood work by then. Take care. Louise

Hi Louise
Thank you for the info. I do think mine is inflamed from the Gastritis. That is what the Professor at the Mayo Clinic had told me but there was no follow up so that is why I am going to the dr's in my town. It was a 4 hr drive there from where I live. I live in Az. I just have to keep a watch on it. I don't want it to go sky high.
Thank you for letting me know you will be away for 3 weeks. I would of worried about you & wondered what happened to you. You have a nice time & email me when you get back. Sending you positive vibes & your in my prayers my friends. God bless Genie
I am new on here but I have been diagnosed with Pancreas Divisium 8 years ago that caused me to have Chronic Pancreatitis. I was pretty much pain free until about 2 months ago. The pain has been debilitating at times. I am retired but own an Events Business. I can't work right now cause its painful standing. I can't sit without being in pain. I have to be either in a reclined position or lying flat on my back.
I had a CT scan today and it showed that everything was normal. That I didn't have Chronic Pancreatitis anymore. That's great but if I don't have that,Why am I in so much pain? Everytimr I eat I am in pain. If I don't eat I am not in pain.
I am very confused because I feel like I am losing my mind from this pain.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Just got out of hospital with pancreatitis. CT confirmed and elevated lipase. So weak , short of breath and no bm in 8 days. Starting to worry. Called my GI at Mayo Rochester when this first started. Thinking I should call again

@mutter3 - I’m sorry you still feel sick! I don’t know if you are close to Mayo or not. You could call again, but if you have a local internist let them know how you feel. I’m sure you had a hospital doctor who discharged you. Check your discharge instructions. After hours you probably won’t get hold of your Mayo doctor, but there is always someone covering.
Please talk to someone tonight to see if this is expected. Let us know what happens!

I also have Pancreas Divisium, but my doctor said my chronic pancreatitis was from an autoimmune pancreas. I also had a CT scan again and it showed chronic pancreatitis was gone. I was under the assumption that chronic pancreatitis never goes away, only the acute kind. Right now I am ok. Your pain can be from something else. When I had pain, it hurt whether I ate or not. Hope you find the cause.

Hi Louise
How are you doing. I had to go have my lipase & amylace rechecked. The first test was not good & then the 2nd test came back better & now it is real bad again. The dr. which is a surgeon is stumped to why this is happening. He said 20% of the time you never know the cause. he thought it could be from my gall bladder but other test showed ok. I have o go back in 2 months & repeat the test. It just seems like no dr. can help me bc of me being so complicated with adhesions in the stomach & intestines. He said if it was the gall bladder he was worried he could not do it through the laprascopy bc the other dr. at Mayo had to do a open wide surgery so if it is the gall bladder I would have a foot long scar like the olden days so I hope it isn't that.
I was glad to see you on here bc I'm not that good with the computer.
Best of luck to you. Youe still in my prayers. I just lost track of you. God Bless Genie

I think about you often and wondered how you were! Do you still have your gall bladder? If so, I'll bet that could be your problem. If you have to have open surgery, it would be better than going on like you are. I pray that you find our and if you do have surgery, I will pray for you...I will pray for you anyway, just to feel better. I am hanging in there. My CT showed chronic pancreatitis gone, but I'm still on pancreatic enzymes, so I guess that part of my pancreas is not working. Hope you feel better. Love, Louise
