@harriethodgson1 and @naturegirl5 Thank you so much for posting your stories and the strength you have shown. They give me lots of strength and hope for the future. I don’t have cancer (just a rare, annoying autoimmune disease). Your positive outlook gives me hope that I can face the future, too. Thank you!
My neighbor just had cervical cancer which spread to her vagina. She told me that she was having radiation treatments.
I wanted to ask her the symptoms but did not.
(I have been having discomfort in that area.)

I went to the gynecologist.
My gynecologist was upset that I had not seen her in many years( I am 70.)
She did not biopsy the cervical/vaginal area... but said
“ I don’t see anything.” ????
Is cervical/vaginal cancer no longer diagnosed when the older patient has not had a test in decades?
What a blessing a d thank you for sharing. I just Recently got diagnosed with this type of cancer after noticing some bleeding. I was very scared still am. What treatment did you get and what would I expect on my first appointment. I thank you for any info or advice.. Monday is my first visit.
Harriet, I booked in with a gynecologist after I noticed post-menopausal bleeding. Like you, he took my symptoms seriously. We really must be persistent in working with medical providers who listen to us. Cheers to you and your experience. I was scheduled for a total hip replacement in mid-September. I just received a phone call from Orthopedics to change that date to mid-November. Still standing. A new expression for me. I like it.
