I had a bypass in 2008 all I can tell you Have to take your vitamins every day for the rest of your life.....
Omg I finally found someone that has the same problem. Be careful. I had the bypass in January. The surgery was supposed to fix the problem. I have lost 20 since the bypass surgery I had no weight to lose. I’m now on A T. P.N. Because the second surgery didn’t work. I don’t think the surgeon did it correctly. I have an obstruction. 7 mm wide where my food goes through I can’t eat are drink. I eat it gets stuck in my chest and hurts like I’m having a heart attack and then I vomit. This can last anywhere from one to five hours . I call them my episodes. My surgeon suggested I do the balloon endoscopic procedure. I do my fourth one April 18th. My fifth one is scheduled for May 6 th. Then if that doesn’t work we will do a stint. Need all this being said . I did seek out a second opinion. I went to the Mayo Clinic and that was there opinion to. I don’t like the balloon treatments. At all I’m doing them to try to get off the TPN treatment. We could discuss further if you would like
I've had multiple surgeries from complications of RNY bypass. I went from 180 to 155 in short period from liquids only diet
Once you get better or recover the weight should equalize. I'm back to 180 a year later.
