My husband has tried Good rx which has been advertised on tv. At some pharmacies some medications are free .. or at least less than insurance copay... and others the same medications are a higher price. I think Good rx has an app. Always good to shop around. If not a good deal that way talk to the company.
I have had to go outside of my prescription plan when health insurance either refuses to cover or the cost is astronomical. Ask your neurologist and/or pharmacist to advise you on the proper channels to go through. There are websites and phone numbers to contact for assistance in high cost medicines. Typically direct to the manufacturer of the drug. I have also needed to use this strategy for migraine meds that insurance refused to cover.
