I know of ablation to regulate the heart but have never heard of the procedure for the knees and hips. It sounds like a procedure that would help many. Are there restrictions such as AFIB ? In my case with the osteoarthritis of the hip I was getting steroid injections but after the last shot I won't get any more . During the last procedure my leg "jumped" off the table and since that time I have had numbness in my foot and pain where the shot was given. I have fibromyalgia too so the orthopedic surgeon said I might want to just deal with the pain and not have surgery.. I am on medical cannabis but I try not to use it during the day, only at night so I can sleep. What specialist did the ablation ?

I also have AFIB, but it was no issue for me during the procedure. I used the Interventional Pain Clinic in Marquette,Mi. Dr. Mehall performed the procedure.
