I have been diagnosed with Ataxia (Spinal-Cerebellar Ataxia). I have read quite a bit about this condition. My question please, is I only have symptoms of Ataxia on my right side, if its Ataxia (as opposed to a Stroke), why are Ataxia symptoms only present on the right side?

May I ask what the process was like regarding receiving a diagnosis? What was the provider reasoning behind why only one side of your body experiences symptoms?
