@lisalucier Health and spirits are low but not ready to throw in the towel yet. Going to start with BCG treatment rather than seeing a surgeon who would only want to removed all of my body parts down there. Sometimes slow is better. I can handle the BCG treatment whereas a drastic move so early in the diagnosis seems waaaay to extreme. I am so far behind on connect and feel sad that I am as there are many here I sincerely care about. Just a lot on my plate and endeavoring to take things slowly and make no snap decisions. Thanks for asking. I have not mentioned the newest finding to family/friends as I don't have enough information at this point. Since the removal of the tumor discovered in the bladder I have had no more symptoms. Going to start the BCG treatments on the 17th.

Hi @parus, so good to hear from you again. I applaud you taking things slowly, gathering all the information you need to make the decisions that are right for you. You might wish to start a discussion about bladder cancer and treatment decisions in the Cancer group here: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/cancer/

Some members of Connect have had Bacillus Calmette–Guerin (BCG) therapy; others have had surgery; some have had both. I'd be happy to connect you with them.

Hello @parus, I agree that taking this treatment at your own pace and as you feel comfortable doing so, is the best idea! Wishing you well.

@parus How can we assist you? You have been a valuable asset to many, and it is our turn. I'll have to look up that treatment choice.
