@zen62

I have the same problem. I was just diagnosed with memory impairment. I don't know exactly what that means or what can be done about this. Take test with your physician. Take care.

Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @zen62. Having some memory impairment sounds hard. I had some for about a month when I was healing from a concussion, and I felt it was disconcerting and scary.

Is your exact diagnosis mild cognitive impairment https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/mild-cognitive-impairment/symptoms-causes/syc-20354578, zen62? What did your physician indicate were the next steps for you?

Hi @zen62 - Let me add my welcome to that of @lisalucier. If you feel like sharing, I'm wondering if you were diagnosed with a neuro-psychological test? Also I wonder if you have heard of the HABIT program at Mayo Clinic? My husband was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment in 2015. We found the HABIT program immensely reassuring and helpful. Here is a link where you can check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0trSH5JnmIw
When I was checking out options, MAYO was the only place that had programs for MCI. There are lots of programs for dementia but so few for MCI. Are you near a MAYO Clinic? Is this something you might consider?
