Hi ginger, yes it seems the healing never stops but i am committed and so inspiring to hear your words, thank you. I am starting with a new therapist, going to try emdr, and exercise will resume when the effexor Kicks in. At this point cant eat and no motivation Its a tough first couple weeks on effexor..it too shall pass. What kind of medication are you on?

@caf Carrie, right now I am not on anything. I do have a referral to do some therapy, again, and may find myself on an anti-depressant. In the past I was on citalopram.
I look forward to hearing about your experience with the new therapist. Will you let us know how it works out for you, please?

@caf Hi, I'm GailBL, and I'm a returning Volunteer Mentor. I noticed that you're starting Effexor for depression. I think it might be good to review the posts posted on "Tips on minimising withdrawal symptoms from Effexor (aka Venelafaxine)" thread. There are 372 pages of posts on problems with this drug. I just think you need to be aware of them since you're just beginning it.

Please ask your doctor for a "DNA test" to find antidepressants that will work best with your body and metabolism. Best of luck. My life completely changed for the best after antidepressant, Citalopram.
