Spend earlier last week with my grandson at scout camp. I’ve been very anxious for months thinking about the 4 days of camping ⛺️ out at a camp
Site in Wisconsin that I’ve not been to. I planned and planned for weeks before and worried about every second of the situations that could arise and of course nothing happened and we had a wonderful time everyday. I’ve said before that my mom told me when I was 8-9 years old that once I get there that I’d be ok. I kept my thought process working on upcoming events and 1) smiled and laughed 2) was friendly and talkative to everyone 3) helped out all of the time 4) productive and non-judgemental 5) kept out- of- myself and towards others 6) curious 7) aware of my down side and stopped to breathe 8) had a blast 9) etc.

@stsopoci Sounds like you had a fine time! Yep, we certainly can over-think things/events/what-ifs, can't we? I do the same! It may be a safety mechanism for us who don't like surprises, and to "be prepared". Pun not really intended, but people tell me I must have been a boy scout in a former life, because like you, I over-think, over-prepare, prepare for contingencies. But it has made me a valuable asset in emergency situations!

Hi @stsopoci,
You developed a great plan to deal with your worries. I especially like #1, smile and laugh, #2 helped out all of the time; and #7 kept out of myself and towards others. Those are just great and I can see why you had a great weekend with your grandson.
