Hello Leonard --

Thanks for your replies. It isn't that Viagra has stopped working -- it's just not as effective as it once was. Part of the change is due to age, I'm sure. My eating schedule around taking Viagra has always been a challenge. I've more or less settled on taking Sildenafil (Viagra) on an empty stomach about 90 minutes before a planned encounter and then eating something about an hour after taking it.

I've been taking 60mg or 80mg -- have never tried 100mg. It's not clear to me that taking more makes a big difference. My Sildenafil prescription is filled with 20mg tablets, hence the dosages I've mentioned here. I have taken Levitra and Cialis in the past -- all three meds seem to work about the same for me. Right now my HMO offers Sildenafil, so I'll stick with that for the time being.

If you or others have additional thoughts or suggestions, I'm listening!

Do you live in California by chance?
I tried cialis and they cost $60.00 each, ouch, and didn’t work. My insurance doesn’t pay for anything. Just make sure you eat after your encounter to ensure maximum efficiency. I guess you need to ask your doctor how to increase its effectiveness.
