Yes.Your right- Patience. I should know that by now and i do. But boy i havent been thinking as i ought so thanks for the reminders! I have No excuses for sure- its even harder when you are trying to help out while not being able to be there. He was ready to sign himself out today. But he did’nt. and he’ll be there till sunday for sure prob into mon my guess. They are putting a pic line in for him to administer his own antibiotic at home. I have a long list of doctors that have seen and talked with him - urologist- gastro colon doc- oncologist- resident overseer doc - some really long name blood infection doc- the urologist said he should call dr smith about his stent whom placed it when he got his bladder out which i thought they had replaced because of the blood infection which they think is from that but they didnt. But dad called him. Dr smith is with a team of docs Who took his bladder out and then he got his urostomy bag.
Confident in the docs all the different ones? Not so much. The hospital no i dont like it but its close to their home and his docs go there...Dad says he only trusts his oncologist right now. Thats scary. But i did have a doctor outside of all this tell me his colon doc is very good. Which helps he couldnt get theough the entire colon he took a biopsy dads waiting on that he thinks its twisted.. so we’re waiting. Im trying to keep my moms mind from wandering too far on things. Thanks for keeping me reminded of others. And the Lord is my rock i know sometimes im not the best witness but he really is! Love and thanks to you all!

@formydad How is your family doing this morning? If your dad has not done so, it might be advisable to have him designate who can receive information on his medical care, perhaps your mom and you both. That is different from S=durable power of Attorney for Medical Care, which allows a designated person/persons to make healthcare decisions if he is unable to. Given all the circumstances, it will show a united front to his medical team, although it takes frank discussion between family members without becoming maudlin, just honesty. We are all crowding in to the corner behind you, your mom, and dad.
