I am seeing a lot of discussion about shower heads and the water supply and was curious about how much danger it poses. It seems to be that it is less of an issue if you already have MAC. Does it make it worse if you shower and get sprayed with aerosolized water? I just saw Dr. Huitt's presentation and she seemed to think that misters are to be blamed and that Florida should really ban those things.

My Infectious Disease Dr said that too. I am in Georgia. He insist that I get a filter for my shower. It is the inhaled mist apparently. He said that yo don't get it from drinking water it is the aerosol mist. Washing your hands isn't a problem either apparently. Some article on here said that indoor pools, indoor saunas, showers carry micro-bacterium. Outdoor pools, outdoor saunas, and yard work are ok but use gloves and a N95 mask when I work in the yard. Water down potting soil before using as well. I was recently diagnosed with MAC for a second time. It was a scant growth. We are taking the wait and see until my 6 week appt and another sputum sample result.
