Hi Sue. No argument either. Rather, let me clarify. Scientific studies cannot endorse product. They came to me because they were fascinated by the design and the ability to see the inside as opposed to not being able to see inside. With all the other Shower Heads and not one Manufacturer mentioned, they had the task of having to cut open and test. The study also did not suggest to go and buy XYZ brand and clean with bleach monthly. Shower Clear gave them the ability to streamline the process. The swabs were to imitate/substitute a place similar to an enclosed unit to grow NTM and test. Those units were closed for a period of time for the NTM to populate. The message is clear that if you can have the ability to open after every shower, you have the ability to clean/ameliorate daily. Something you cannot do in a traditional design. The choice goes back to a basic theory. Would you rather know and see inside your Shower Head and be able to clean daily with the flip of a latch or guess? I hope this helps.
