Hi, @kittymama. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Sounds like it might be challenging to have bacterial vaginosis keep coming back.

A member I'd like to invite to this discussion who've mentioned bacterial vaginosis and may have experience with recurrence is @usafretired15. @spudsmacm @baxtersmom @peabody88 @contentandwell @becsbuddy may also have some thoughts for you.

While awaiting these members in this conversation, @kittymama, I thought you might be interested in reading this Mayo Clinic information on this condition: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bacterial-vaginosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20352279.

Has your doctor weighed in on this condition recurring? If so, why does he or she feel this is happening?

My doctor is very aware of it, she feels my breast cancer treatments very well could have brought this extra suffering on me. I read the mayo clinic info about BV. Nothing I didn't already know. No cure or real help out there for this. It would be nice if they came up with a douche that balances ph and kills bacteria for this instead of that damn cream you have to deal with, and the mess for 7 days. The oral medicine doesn't work either. Then you end up with a yeast infection from the BV treatment. It's all a money making scheme from the medical community. They could cure it if they cared to, but they don't. I'm a nurse, so I know the game unfortunately.
