@hopeful33250, my greatest fear isn't death or dying, though that's not high on my to-do list, but loss of independence and consequent self-neglect due to immobility. PT taught mme some muscle strengthening exercises to make pushing up to transfer a bit easier on my injured leg.

@kamama94, I am right along with you on what you expressed. I fear becoming unable to make my own decisions about my life. Daily unrelenting pain and suffering, which you as a nurse and I as a long time caregiver, have brought me to the belief that we are sometimes more humane and merciaful in making decisions for our beloved pets and other animals than we are for human beings. Whatever we can do to maintain personal independence is a very good thing in my book. Sending you heaps of affection and strength.
