@lioness I am wondering the exact same thing. I will be looking forward to hearing what your doctor says. Where would you be getting the shot?
@sueinmn So, it doesn't travel through your bloodstream and possibly affect other areas? I would love to get shots in both hips for my bursitis but am afraid to. Of course my hips are involved in my osteoporosis too. I should check with my osteoporosis endocrinologist, I feel more comfortable asking her than the physiatrist who would be giving me the shot.

It depends. In many, osteoporosis is only in some bones. If the injection is in a different area, not a problem. Steroids have an effect over time, not immediately, so one or two injections might be okay.
