@laureenaugust Hi there. Welcome to Connect. I think this issue of tightness around the knee after surgery is seldom so easily resolved. The massage and scar tissue release seems to have worked for your post TKR issues. Very often it is the build-up of scar tissue which is what happens when the fascia connects and prevents fluid movement. Thank you for your good wishes. Might be worth seeking out “focused” shockwave treatment to facilitate breaking up scar tissue and to help with decreased pain levels. It is a non-invasive therapy that has virtually no side effects. Somewhat of a challenge to find practitioners using focused shockwave in this country but it has been widely utilized in Europe & Canada for decades.
