The tight "band like" feeling I have is just above the knee cap and on the left side of the knee. It feels like someone has tied a band around my knee and now everything is just tight. I have also had a lot of swelling that Dr. and PT just keep saying "will go away". I have also experienced the "burning" and "pins and needles" feeling.PT says it's just the nerves waking back up. With all this pain at 5 weeks out not sure how I am supposed to control it. Dr. took me off pain meds at 1 1/2 weeks.

Maybe you can get a rx for an anti-inflammatory like mobic and take it with tylenol.

I had my Right knee done 4 years ago and I still have the tight ban feeling. The more I walk the tighter it gets.
Just went through a treatment at the pain center where they put probes around the knee. It's a cold process that is supposed to deaden the nerves. It's working somewhat, they say it could take weeks. Just have to wait and see.

I've had the same thing on my right knee. I've had 4 years of the pain. The more I walk the tighter the bad feels and cause me to limp. I've had everything you can think of done to my knee with little or no results cant go to the surgeon as if it move back and forth its works. 15% to 20% of knee replacements are pro lems. The PA's forcthe surgeon works on these.
I still feel it has to do with the ligaments. They have deaden nerves and it still doesnt help. Working with a pain Center and my PA.
