Hi. I’ll try to make this as short as possible and thank you very much for your reply. Back in 2003 I was in a severe accident which fractured my hip, femur, knee and many other things. I eventually recovered with the exception of my right hip which was infected with MRSA. After many replacements with spacers and pic lines in between I’m still in the same spot. In October of 2016 I had surgery to clean out my infection and put in another antibiotic spacers once again. I still have the spacer in and I’m dealing the replacement because at 49 years I’ve had enough. Over 20 surgeries so I don’t have much faith in hospitals/surgeons. Have no idea what I’m going to do.

Oh, it still hurts a lot and very weak. Don’t know why but now I’m having a lot of pain in my thigh also. Also on medication for last 16 years.

If it is indicated and your trust a doctor feels you need it, we get the replacement! Stop suffering and get on with your life. Hip replacements are great.
