I have been on Coumadin for 20 years because of an artificial aortic valve and really bad arrhythmias both atrial and ventricle. Pain caused arrhythmias so bad that either my defibrillator would shocked me or I had a electro cardio conversion done at a hospital. I started using CBD in late 2017 in the hopes that it would decrease the pain enough to stop it’s influence on my heart. I read that it would probably take weeks to really become effective enough to notice a difference. I put some CBD oil under my tongue and went to bed. I awoke in a panic because for the first time since I had open heart surgery in 2001 my heart was in a totally normal rhythm. Just google CBD and heart arrhythmias and read what the NIH has posted about it. I suggest that you google cbd and blood thinners because it can effect blood thinners, but there is a safe way to deal with that. Start out just using one drop of oil under your tongue on the first day and increase it by one drop each day until you are at the level of CBD that is effective. Yes CBD will effect your liver enzymes that break down a lot of different medications so don’t take them at the same time that you take your blood thinners. I take my CBD 6 hours after my morning meditations and it’s metabolized long before I take my warfarin at night. Read articles from reliable sources and refer to them when you talk to your Dr. Don’t expect your Dr to know, and he can’t approve using it until the FDA says that it’s ok. The other very important thing is to make sure that you are using a trusted source for your CBD. I buy mine from a company called “Populum “. They provide a third party lab test that was done on your CBD. As for the pain that was driving my heart crazy is now just treated with Tylenol instead of the extremely large doses of morphine that the VA had put me on. I’m 65 years old and for the first time in a very long time my quality of life isn’t being destroyed by pain and an unstable heart. Good luck to you, and please do your own research. My electrophysiologist is now a believer of the effects that CBD had on my arrhythmias. It only makes sense that if it’s effective in treating seizures that it could have the same effect on arrhythmias. It’s just an electrical storm in the heart and not the head. The lack of all the side effects of all those other drugs is another gift.

Hello, dvdhoover. Good info in your message. Thank you. I'm thrilled with the improvements in my body and my life since I've been using medical marij. for the last 6+ months. I have found the 1:1, THC:CBD is good for my needs.....anxiety is gone, muscles relax, no cramping, back/neck/shoulder/feet/hips, etc. pain is lessened, sometimes gone for most of the night. If I've had a more than normal active day....'active' is certainly relative these days!...I will use a tiny spray or 2 of THC. Rarely do I need to use Voltarin cream or any other pain helper. I do take an EX Tylenol and melatonin. What a difference in my nights. I sleep, well, comfortably, in almost no pain. I often wake up with a smile from inside, it's such a treat to have the time away from the pain and anxiety of the years. Your experience with CBD and your a-fib is really interesting. Congratulations! What a shock that must have been, to feel well or 'normal'. Bless you. I think that's part of what I'm feeling now, a touch of normal again. What a treat!
