@taya I have been reading about Lear Lung on this site but have not taken any myself. So I admit I know next to nothing about what it does. The issue I would like to raise is that, with bronchiectasis (which I also have), anything you use should not serve only as a cough suppressant. As bad as coughing may be, it does help to move the mucus that is accumulated in your lungs. If you have productive coughs, that means you are moving some of the mucus up to be expelled. If you have excessive mucus which doesn't get moved, it will become hot bed for trapping MAC bacteria inside those tiny pockets caused by bronchiectasis. MAC infections was called "Lady Windermere Syndrome" initially. Here is the link to an article that helps to understand why those of us who suffer from bronchiectasis shouldn't suppress coughing. https://www.mdedge.com/ccjm/article/102886/geriatrics/lady-windermere-syndrome-mycobacterium-sophistication I'm sure you can find more information on this topic from Google.

Thank you for the information. I did read the article and as I suspected I should not surpress the cough so I will ease up on the Clear Lung. I certainly do not want to get a MAC.
