GI Disorder and Internal Shaking
Hi all. I'm a 21 year old South Asian female and I have been having GI issues for about five years--mainly along the lines of constipation. I do have bowel movements every day but it takes a long time & I am rarely fully cleared out. These GI issues are always accompanied by other health issues (gas, pressure in head, etc). Recently, some scary new conditions have manifested: In the past few weeks, there have been times where my heart starts beating wildly and very fast. Sometimes, when I'm tired and constipated, my entire body feels like its vibrating internally; the shakes aren't visible but it feels like all my muscles are quivering. At this point, I feel a constant shaking/quivering within my body, especially in my heart cavity.
I have had TWO EKG's and both came back normal. All lab tests for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, etc came back within normal limits. I am very concerned about this internal shaking. My dad says he found something about how GI disorders can impact muscoskeletal system and since the heart is a muscle, it's contracting and being affected. But I wanted to know if anyone here can help!!!!!!! If anyone knows anything at all please please please let me know!!!!!

Good for you, deb3. We are deficient in vitamins. Magnesium being one. I have to be super careful with magnesium because it can cause kidney problems. I take one a day or less. Without magnesium we become tight and muscles become become tight. We are losing fields for growing our food and becoming magnesium deficient, You can't keep growing foods over and over in the same fields. They become magnesium deficient soil. So many homes are being built on soil once used for crop growing. Too many people in our country plus industry is taking our soil once used for farm land. Farmers are without land to grown crops properly. Without farm land we don't have soil that is vitamin sufficient for our health. Farmers are losing out. Bill Gates wants to buy farm land for whatever reason in the south. Big industry coming into our country and wanting to take our land once used for farming. My brother is a farmer is seeing the devastating results. You might want to take thiamine for energy which is Vitamin B and Niacin. Helps with energy. You can't overdose on Vitamin B. Plus vitamin D for bones. But the real help is your DIET!!!!! If you are older it takes long to heal. Being younger takes less time.We have to save our land for farmers.
@oakbourne I would like your reference on Bill Gates... I live in Iowa, raised on a farm, so I am skeptical of your reply...
Hi ken82, first off I am related to the famous Ted Turner. You know Ted Turner is the largest land owner in the country. Before he became ill, he wanted to buy lots of farm land around Swainsboro, GA, for quail hunting. When I worked in Swainsboro at the hospital I could hear the gun shots going off at my humble home. Most of my relatives live in Swainsboro, GA and I worked in the hospital in Emmanuel County, Swainsboro, GA. My brother met Ted Turner at a family reunion and I was living in Texas, so I didn't get to meet him. I was to meet him before he became ill. My uncle worked with Ted Turner in Savannah, GA. My relatives were/are farmers in Swainsboro, GA. My mother worked the farm, in rural GA, picking cotton, peas, beans, and helped wring the necks of chickens and butcher the animals. It was a healthier way of eating because no chemicals, artificial flavoring, and other garbage were put into their food to make them sick.
I got this information about Bill Gates and industry wanting to buy up farm land from a realtor in Swainsboro, GA. Thousands and thousands of acres. He says they are pouring in like rats. This is upsetting and we can't lose our farm land to industry and Bill Gates. A realtor talked about Bill Gates and industry. Suffice to say, this is upsetting. I was shocked to hear this. We need land for crops. I do minimal social media so I did not confirm it. You may want to look up Bill Gates and his buying up acres of land in the south. You may want to call a realtor in Swainsboro, GA, and confirm it, if they know. Some realtors may not know, but this relator I spoke with did know. I am only going by what the realtor told me. You may not know, but the South has changed and not for the good.
I hope I didn't upset you. You have a right to doubt me. I am an older southern girl seeing my south disappear. I miss the old south and seeing it change before my eyes. Anymore questions, please contract me. I am upset! Dorothy
@oakbourne The information from a single realtor concerning Bill Gates and his purchase of land connected with a discussion on minerals and vitamins in food brings in a whole other issue that is really not relevant and the source of that opinion is really just hearsay. The Mayo Clinic Connect site is for people with various medical conditions to get feedback based on real experiences and usually supplemented with credible references... It is true that Bill Gates through his investments have bought up very large portions of land in the US .. for example the Puget Sound Business Journal published articles about his purchase of 20,000 acres of AZ land west of Phoenix in the desert and a 14,500 Ac purchase of Wine Country Land in Washington state .. I found an article about Bill Gates ownership of Agricultural Ground in Florida and Georgia where he grows Onions.. There are articles of how Gates wants to reform farming as well..... I added a link below concerning GA land owned by Gates.. My point is that when one writes an opinion about other people the writer should be willing to back up the words or charge with Credible sources of information that we can rely on.... The intent of Gates in his farming should not be assumed but rather researched and stated with credible sources. Sorry to upset you, but so many people across the world rely on Mayo Clinic Connect and its credibility that we need to discipline ourselves to keep that reputation and credibility. Thank you for your opinion on the situation .. Ken ..

I am having the same internal shakes, on and off for about a year now. I have mast cell activation disease and think gut issues and food intolerances are the cause. I’ve had h pylori and SIBO as well. A lot has to do with overuse of antibiotics over many years. I’m still trying to figure this all out. How are you doing now, any better?
My tremors have stopped. I started taking the famotadine in Sept. My stomach stopped bloating after eating and the pain I was having stopped. Unfortunately the only medication I was on was the famotadine. I was waking up at night sporadically as well. Late November the tremors I was having qould come and go mostly after I exercised or was sitting. Maybe I just noticed it more then. But the last tremor I had scared me because I could not get it to stop. I called my Drs. Office next day and went in. She stopped the famotadine that day. It took a few days but the tremors have completely stopped and I am happy to say I am no longer waking up at night. The stomach pain has started again and Again I am bloated after I eat. I am currently starting herbal drops of iberogast. To see if it will help. All natural and have read good reviews on them. Hopefully will get relief. Hope this helps someone who may be experiencing the tremors while on famotadine.
Quite a bit better. Gas issues are mostly gone and I haven’t had the accompanying internal shaking in ages. That only happened when I was full of gas. Gas seems to get worse when I have a yeast flare up. I pretty much know which foods cause issues and can avoid them or deal with gas. I’m being treated by a chiropractor that also treats nutritional issues. I seem to do best when I see him regularly (every 2-4 weeks). I take a fair amount of nutritional supplements which gets expensive, but I’ve decided my quality of life is worth it. I just feel so much better and so many issues are healed. I used to have a GI specialist that seemed to accept that I’d need to keep taking prescription meds to treat my symptoms indefinitely vs. taking supplements and therapies to heal the root cause. I struggled most days in the mornings with whether or not I was able to go to work. Would it get better or worse once I got there. I retired before I planned to. Now I just get up and start my day. I have occasional problems but they are short-lived and mostly self-induced.
I am feeling much better. I did stop the omeprazole long ago. It changed the intensity of the shakes. I'm finding no sugar, and it was bad for me send to have done the trick. I have overindulged in cookies and I'm noticing it coming back sightly. That will end right now!
I have also found that in my journey high fat foods will make my heart race. Also I have had to eliminate all caffeine which I already have little tolerance to. Chocolate and sugar intake affects it also. A probiotic helped my IBS. Poor gut health will contribute and cause all these symptoms and start up the anxiety machine as well which is another contributing factor
gigirij, your symptoms may be from vitamin B deficiencies especially B1 - thiamine. Thiamine requires magnesium to become bioactive so if you are deficient in magnesium it could result in a B1 deficiency.
