@contentandwell and @bookysue, I think the video/audio quality depends on multiple things - using cellular data vs Wi-Fi, speed of your Internet connection/service, any interference and settings for the app you are using. Here's some info that may be helpful.

Thanks, @johnbishop I'm not sure if I missed something in those links, but do you know if FaceTime is over different lines than regular calls? It just seems odd that it was so much clearer than when he just calls, and that his fiancee's grandmother had commented on it a number of times.
