Shingrix and peripheral neuropathy
4 days after my 2nd Shingrix vaccination, I suddenly developed intense peripheral neuropathy in both feet...for the first time in my life...anyone else?

I agree totally. I am going to the dr. tomorrow about my high pancreas levels & I'm afraid he is going to want me to take the shot & I don't want to do it just yet. Not saying I won't but I need some time.
@dont That would certainly be an alternate view... Geert Vanden Bossche is a DVM Ph.D. ... They are real good on lab animals and ending my pets lives... His Ph.D. in virology certainly is about virus and is very heavy into statistics... The interview raises the point that the mRDA vaccines of Moderna and Pfizer are not killing the virus..... and are just prophylactic so they allow a vaccinated person to carry the virus without killing it.. like those asymptomatic carriers... The push to have something that worked in essence prevents the body's immune system to develop effective antibodies for the variants that are developing.. It is a chicken and egg parallel ... or what happens when a person does not take the full antibiotic prescription... the mutations develop a defense for that antibiotic. ... So Additional vaccines have to be developed to properly kill the virus as it enters our body.
My PhD is in Building Energy Use Modeling ... so I will have to see how many virus experts agree with G. V. Bossche.. and who does not.. We cannot limit ourselves to one virologist.. Ken
I’m yrs late on joint this. I wish I would have seen it earlier. I had my first shingles shot. Not getting the second one. Have an appointment for testing in 2 weeks. Doctor suspects peripheral neuropathy. I have never had anything like this before. There has to be a connection.
I had my first and only Shingles Vaccine shot a year ago. I have experienced peripheral neuropathy ever since . I was advised by multiple physicians NOT to take the 2nd shot nor any other vaccines.
I will start stem cell therapy next week and I have some optimism on my part for the first time to address my past year of misery.
There is a definite relationship with my GSK
shot.
@ricke Have you read the publication of of NIH.. https://www.ninds.nih.gov/Disorders/Patient-Caregiver-Education/Hope-Through-Research/Shingles-Hope-Through-Research
I had a terrible reaction to my second Shingrix shot. I had profound muscle weakness for a day afterward and could barely get off the bed without assistance. I have chronic small fiber neuropathy among possible other things, but Shingrix caused the worst reaction I have had.
Hello @ttmt285 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am sorry to hear of your reaction to your second Shingrix shot. What day post-shot are you now and how are you doing?
I received the shingles shot in November 2019 and one month later my right foot started going numb. Advance to todays date both feet are numb and both hands. When I sit the pain is severe. Before I got the shot I was in great shape and now I'm a mess. Balance is off and if I close my eyes I'll fall over if I'm not holding on to something.
Hello @markofex1 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am sorry to hear about your decline in health. Have you been seeing a neurologist? What are you doing for your pain?
I got my first Shingrix vaccine Nov 2020 approximately 2 days after I started developing foot pain now 7 months later the pain is so debilitating I can hardly walk. I won’t get the second one
