Shingrix and peripheral neuropathy

Please give it some thought before you start a class action lawsuit, Don. For one thing, you won't get any money - companies always settle with the lawyers and pay them - the plaintiffs get something useless like: a coupon for $3 off on your next shingrix vaccination. Second, if your lawsuit gets media attention, politicians will jump on the bandwagon and make a law banning the shingrix vaccination so they can tell voters "look at me, I'm saving you from this terrible thing". A vaccination against shingles is wonderful - it saves many people from years of horrible relentless pain. If you find out that you are one of the few who had a bad reaction, you might want to be kind and let the other folks who need the vaccination have it.

Don't take my word for it, do some research into the results of class action lawsuits, please, before you decide to launch it.

P.S. Threatening to start a class action lawsuit might get good results - we all like to avoid paying lawyers and getting bad publicity if we can.

Peggy

Hi Peggy, thank you for your thoughts. I really want to see some ownership/responsibility by GSK for lack of a warning regarding the potential adverse reaction of neuropathy. The adjuvant is very powerful and it barely got approved by the company in a 5:4 vote. They had concerns about some of these more serious reactions. The class action lawsuit has already been initiated by others and I just am considering joining it. Don
