Hello @joannerhodes. I am inviting @charann2000 to this conversation as they also have recently talked about having the shingrix vaccination.

@joannerhodes, neuropathy would certainly be a concerning side-effect, was this discussed as a potential side-effect with you when you were given the vaccination? Have you contacted your provider that gave the shot?

Are there many people experiencing neuropathy after the Shingrix vaccine? I received the first shot in Dec 2019 and in January I started having terrible leg cramps. In Feb, I took the 2nd shot and my cramps turned to spasms and then the neuropathy started. I came to Mayo in May and was diagnosed with Benign Cramp Fasciculation. However, by July the horrible burning and electrical shock started and after many tests and biopsy, I was diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy. I have said all along that this all came from the Shingrix vaccine as I had no symptoms before I took the first shot, and within 6 months I was diagnosed with severe Small Fiber Sensory Neuropathy. My Vaccine was given at Duke Medical center and they are also the ones who diagnosed the small fiber neuropathy but I can't get anyone to admit that this all came from the Shingrix vaccine. How do you go from no symptoms to severe neruopathy in a couple months. Everything that I read says that SFN is very slow progressing... Have there been any treatments identified, that you know of, that helps? Thanks for posting this. It helps to know that I'm not alone, although I would wish this on noone.

I had my second shingles shot yesterday. Last night my left arm felt tingly and kind of numb particularly a forearm part of my arm. Today I have a temperature low-grade and feel like I’m getting the flu my right arm is a little bit tingly. I’m just gonna watch the symptoms and see what happens. I had no problems after my first shot. Also I have been tested for Covid because I didn’t know if it is what could be side effects from COVID-19

I recently had my 2nd Shingrix shot, it did not worsen my neuropathy which for me started shortly after I begsn taking Anastrozole. I switched to Letrozole and my other side effects trigger finger, De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis resolved after another 6 weeks of PT, but the neuropathy has never improved.

I myself started having pins, needles and burning in my feet and legs about a week after receiving my 2nd Shingrix vaccine last may 5th. They made no mention of neuropathy being a possible side effect, they only said to expect a sore arm for a few days. If I had known this was a possible side effect, I would not have gotten the Shingrix vaccine.

I was already diagnosed with polyneuropathy when my doctor recommended Shingrix. I had an extreme reaction to the first vaccine 4 days later, including worsened neuropathy, visual problems, blood pressure spikes, palpitations and gut problems. Some of these issues continued for over two months afterwards. Neuropathy is still exacerbated. My doctor recommended I see a psychiatrist. Instead, I found another doctor and filed an adverse event report with the CDC.
